My Story
From childhood curiosity to creative exploration, unexpected detours to discovering my calling — here's the winding path that led me to become a Full-Stack Product Engineer.
It's been a circular journey, but every detour taught me something valuable.
The Journey So Far
My path to software engineering wasn't linear. It was more like a spiral — circling back to childhood interests, taking unexpected detours through music and manual labor, until everything clicked into place.
Early Coding
Started with Visual Basic as a kid, making desktop apps from YouTube tutorials
Creative Years
Dove deep into filmmaking, photography, and music production — mastering the art of creation
Reality Check
FedEx delivery driver, Instacart, Aldi — learning the value of hard work while searching for my path
The Spark
ChatGPT launched, and everything clicked. I found my way back to code — this time for real
The Turning Points
Every journey has moments that change everything. Here are the pivotal experiences that shaped who I am today.
The Accidental Hacker
Built my first desktop apps in Visual Basic, following as many YouTube tutorials as I could find. I also tinkered with Cheat Engine to "hack" Club Penguin and Bloons Tower Defense.
Learning by doing beats learning by reading — curiosity and experimentation are the best teachers.
The Creative Detour
Majored in Media Arts at USC-Columbia, dove into filmmaking and photography. Learned storytelling, visual design, and the importance of user experience.
Every technical skill benefits from understanding human creativity and emotion.
The Music Obsession
Spent years making beats in FL Studio, recording music, selling on BeatStars. Learned about iteration, feedback loops, and finding my unique voice.
Passion projects teach you more than any textbook ever could.
The Reality Check
FedEx Ground delivery driver working 60+ hours a week. Physical labor, time pressure, customer service — all while dreaming of something more.
Hard work builds character, while smart work builds futures.
The ChatGPT Moment
First interaction with ChatGPT sparked everything. Asked about building a Discord bot, got introduced to Python, and suddenly the path forward was clear.
The right tool at the right moment can change everything.
The Full Circle
From "vibe coding" with AI to learning fundamentals, landing my first dev role, and building production systems. The childhood curiosity finally found its home.
The best journeys bring you back to where you started, but with new eyes.
Where I Am Now
Today, I'm building products that solve real problems. Every technical decision is guided by user impact, because great software isn't just about perfect algorithms — it's about meeting expectations and creating value.
What Drives Me
I love the intersection of technical precision and user empathy. The moment when clean, scalable code meets real human needs — that's where the magic happens. I'm passionate about building software that people actually want to use.
Current Focus
I'm doubling down on fundamentals while building SubTracked, a SaaS platform for collectible grading submissions. It's the perfect blend of technical challenge and real-world problem solving. I'm also completing certifications and learning from the best in the field.
How I Think
"The more I learn, the less I know" — my favorite saying because it perfectly captures the learning journey. Every new skill reveals deeper rabbit holes, and I embrace that endless curiosity. I'm always asking "What's the goal?" and "How well are we aligned?"
What's Next
My goal is to land a full-stack engineering role where I can focus 100% on building great software. I want to work with teams that value both technical excellence and user experience. Once I'm there, I'll get back to making music — because creativity feeds creativity.
Let's Work Together
I'm always interested in new opportunities and meaningful projects. Whether you're looking to build something new or improve something existing, I'd love to help bring your ideas to life.
